Turtle Island, Fiji

Destination Weddings on Turtle Island

Travel-loving couples who dream of getting married on a white sandy beach next to the brilliantly blue waters of the ocean, will want to check out weddings on Fiji’s Turtle Island. With five hundred acres of privately owned land, Turtle Island is truly an island paradise where couples can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

Couples who get married on Turtle Island will enjoy the serenity of a traditional Fijian wedding ceremony at sunset on the shores of the famous Blue Lagoon. The bride and groom wear traditional Fijian wedding attire made by the Turtle Island staff and receive fresh flowers to wear around their necks. The bride's arrival is marked by the trumpeting of conch shells and a ceremonial drum beat follows the bride and groom's path to the wedding chapel where a Fijian choir is waiting. After an intimate ceremony, guests enjoy a nighttime wedding feast under the soft glow of lanterns.

Turtle Island isn't only a magical place for a wedding. It's an oasis of natural beauty perfect for a romantic and private honeymoon. Only 14 couples may stay on Turtle Island at one time, one for each of the island's private beaches. Turtle Island honeymoons are all-inclusive packages including everything from snorkeling and sailing to hikes through the lush forest. Couples can relax in a hammock on their own private beach and sip champagne while enjoying the sights and sounds of this hidden gem of nature.

Why Choose a Destination Wedding?

Experience a unique and affordable way to say "I do"

You will save Money!

A destination wedding can be a much more affordable alternative to a traditional lavish wedding. Many places offer complete wedding packages which often includes an on-site wedding consultant to help you with all of the special details of your wedding.

Smaller Guest List

Invite Close Friends & Family

Another great reason to have a destination wedding is the ability to have a smaller guest list. Instead of planning for hundreds of people you will have only close friends and family who are willing to make the trip out to your destination for your wedding.

A Once in a Lifetime

Although a destination wedding is a more affordable option for the bride and groom, it does come at a higher cost to your guests. A small, intimate guest list will allow you to share your special day with the people who really mean the most to you.

Many couples who choose a destination wedding, also opt to combine their wedding location with their honeymoon dream. Get married in a stunning location, and then continue the celebrations in the same spot or enjoy the duration of your trip at a nearby resort.
